Explain the choice
Before using a method, explain why it applies. State the assumptions, what the question gives you, and what you are trying to find. If the explanation is unclear, that is a useful starting point for support.
Vary the questions
After working through a familiar example, try a question that changes the context. Notice which parts of the method remain the same and which require a fresh decision.
Review the reasoning
Look beyond the final answer. Check the steps, units, definitions, and evidence. Discuss why an approach worked and when it would not apply.
